The Wood Farm is the home of the Wood family, located in Sierra Madre. In 2019, the Wood’s invited Mike and Mandy of Huarache Farms to build a market garden and a personal use garden for the family. Erika and Isaac of Sustaina as well as local vegan, Dan Farnam, helped to get it all started.

Mike and Mandy currently help to manage their 60 tower gardens every Thursday morning, as well as to provide gardening advice and assistance for their kitchen garden.

We plant turnips and beets year-round in the swivel towers up top, in the middle we plant zucchinis, eggplant, and kale. In the bottom pots, we plant carrots and experiment with other root vegetables.
